Self-Clamping Door Hinge and Latch Jig
Save time and remove the guess work when installing new doors into existing frames with the Milescraft HingeJig. This self-clamping jig comes with everything needed to rout hinge and latch mortises onto new doors. The self-clamping feature holds the HingeJig in place while routing without the use of screws or nails that can leave holes in a finished door.
- Padded self-clamping design of door hinge installation jig sets up quickly and prevents damages to doors caused by mounting screws or nails
- Adjustable settings allow door hinge jig to be used on all standard size 1-3/8” and 1-3/4” thick doors.
- PLEASE NOTE NOT INTENDED FOR USE WHEN ROUTING DOOR HINGES ON JAMB / FRAME AND NOT INTENDED FOR STRIKE PLATE MORTISING
- Cut professional hinge mortises with ¼”, 5/8”, or square corners. (Chisel Required)
- Unique design of door hinge installation jig eliminates need for multiple inserts to rout different corner radiuses
- Door hinge installation kit includes additional templates to rout common door latch mortises sized 1” x 2-1/4” , 1-1/8” x 2-1/4” , and 1-1/8” x 2-3/4”
- Set router bit depth with built-in depth setting gauge for smaller or larger size door hinges
- Includes custom router bit with ball bearing to cut clean and smooth door hinge mortises
